Kevin Wassong
Kevin has spent his career as a builder and operator of businesses in marketing, media and technology. His passion is for innovation. Some would call him a genius (in his own mind), an inventor, a facilitator, a lover of all things digital and an early founder of modern digital marketing and technology (not in his own mind). Today, he proudly bears the title of Founder and CEO of mktg.ai, boldly billing it as "The Bloomberg Terminal of Marketing" (because who wouldn’t want to be the Bloomberg of something, right?). He remembers sitting with Tom in 2004 when Tom told him he was called back to active duty. When he heard of Tom’s service (thank you!) and the start of the TD Foundation, he was an early supporter, doing what he could to give to an incredible cause led by an incredible person. Having founded J. Walter Thompson’s first digital division, digital@jwt, Kevin gave Sean Finnigan his first gig as a media director (created a monster!), became great friends with Nick Johnson (not a monster) and so many others.
His love affair with technology started with marketing Sun Microsystems in the mid-90s and building Sotheby’s first online auction. This led to building J. Walter Thompson’s first digital organization, digital@jwt (catchy name), launching the first consumer fintech brand Minyanville Media, helping launch the FOX Business Network and even snagging an Emmy Award along the way (for what, he’s not entirely sure, but it looks great on his shelf). He created ONE Mobile, the first private marketplace and advertising platform and services organization for the local broadcast industry, leading the company from start to sale (Nexstar Broadcasting/Media).
Over the past eight years, he has built INTEG:Advisors, a leading consultancy that provides integrated marketing services to brands and agencies in a more connected, measurable world including OMG, GE Lighting, Ideal Image, ZiffDavis, the Ad Council, Worth Media and Dentsu. Yet, amidst all the chaos and comedy of his professional endeavors, Kevin finds true satisfaction in his work with the Media Advisory Board for Sandy Hook Promise and, more recently, the TD Foundation. He firmly believes that passion can’t be bought (though he’s open to accepting it as payment for his consulting services) and looks forward to putting his passion to work for Tom’s most critical mission: providing aid to children of wounded warriors and fallen heroes.
