Outbrain-Teads Merger: A Billion-Dollar Deal to Transform AdTech

Today, two advertising technology category (AdTech) leaders Outbrain and Teads have announced a merger, scripting a new chapter in the video advertising industry. The merger is part of Outbrain’s readiness to acquire Teads, a leading programmatic advertising platform for contextual targeting and the CTV marketplace. Unitedly, the new entity will redefine advertising performance and omnichannel video offerings. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

The adtech deal represents a groundbreaking advancement in digital advertising in the open internet era. By forging direct connections between advertisers and premium publishers across 50+ markets, the new platform will host the largest, most direct supply paths in the digital advertising industry. With a projected reach of over 2 billion monthly consumers, advertisers and publishers will have performance signals to improve their campaigns.
