Artificial intelligence continues to reshape the marketing and advertising landscape, with new infrastructure and technologies transforming how campaigns are planned, executed, and optimized. The inclusion of Cognitiv’s leadership in the ADWEEK AI Power 50 reflects the growing influence of deep learning driven innovation in modern advertising performance.

Cognitiv, a company specializing in advanced performance advertising powered by deep learning, announced that its Chief Executive Officer and Co Founder Jeremy Fain and Chief Science Officer and Co Founder Dr. Aaron Andalman have been named to the ADWEEK AI Power 50 list. The annual recognition highlights leaders who are shaping the future of artificial intelligence across marketing, media, and advertising.

The recognition follows a period of strong growth for Cognitiv, including a 388 percent increase in adoption of its flagship platform ContextGPT. The product is described as the industry’s first interactive chat based contextual targeting platform, designed to help media planners define target audiences using natural language while AI models interpret intent and recommend appropriate environments for advertising engagement.

“Vision is often talked about in hindsight. What sets Cognitiv apart is that its co-founders recognized where AI was headed, and built that future early,” said Michael Kassan, Founder and CEO of 3C Ventures. “Long before most of the market began talking seriously about AI, they were investing in the infrastructure, and the science required to fundamentally reshape advertising performance through deep learning. Today, as some still find their footing, this team is operating at scale and delivering measurable impact. Jeremy and Aaron’s recognition by ADWEEK is well deserved as they continue to show what real advanced performance looks like in practice.”

Dr. Aaron Andalman has played a central role in shaping the company’s technical foundation. Trained as a neuroscientist at Stanford and MIT, he established the deep learning architecture behind Cognitiv’s advertising platform and leads a research driven culture in which nearly half of the company’s employees work in science and engineering roles.

Under Andalman’s leadership, Cognitiv developed ContextGPT and introduced major upgrades in 2025 including Interactive Audience Exploration and a new Relevance Engine. The enhancements delivered up to a 40 percent improvement in contextual campaign performance for media buyers. Andalman is also recognized as an industry advocate for responsible AI development, emphasizing transparency and governance in advertising technology.

Jeremy Fain co founded Cognitiv in 2015 with the belief that self organizing deep learning algorithms would ultimately replace traditional rules based advertising optimization. At the time, the industry relied heavily on static audience segments and older machine learning methods. Fain helped establish a new category of AI powered performance marketing focused on real time optimization and intelligent contextual targeting.

Under his leadership, Cognitiv reported significant business growth, including a 67 percent year over year increase in new clients and a 29 percent improvement in average return on ad spend for customers during the second half of 2025 compared with the first half of the year. Fain also expanded the company’s leadership structure by appointing industry veteran Michael Kassan as its first independent board member.

The recognition of Cognitiv’s founders on the ADWEEK AI Power 50 underscores the increasing role of deep learning technologies in advertising performance. As brands continue investing in AI driven marketing infrastructure, leaders who bridge scientific innovation with real world business impact are likely to play an important role in shaping the next phase of the advertising industry.
