As brands increasingly seek targeted advertising strategies that connect with consumers in specific communities, hyperlocal advertising platforms are introducing new AI driven tools to improve campaign performance. Nextdoor AI click optimisation aims to help advertisers reach neighbourhood audiences more effectively while delivering stronger engagement across local campaigns.

Nextdoor, the social platform designed to connect neighbourhood communities, announced the launch of its AI powered click optimisation capability for advertisers in the United Kingdom. The feature is designed to improve campaign efficiency by using machine learning to optimise ad delivery and increase click through rates across hyperlocal advertising campaigns.

The new capability forms part of the company’s expanding smart advertising suite and is integrated within the Nextdoor Ads Manager platform. The company said the AI system analyzes campaign signals and adjusts bidding strategies to maximise clicks and engagement throughout the marketing funnel.

Early testing results suggest significant performance improvements. During beta trials, advertisers using the Nextdoor AI click optimisation feature recorded a median increase of more than seventy five percent in click through rates compared with campaigns that used traditional cost per thousand impressions bidding models. At the same time, the cost per click decreased by a median of seventy five percent, allowing advertisers to generate approximately four times as many clicks with the same marketing budget.

One of the advertisers involved in the beta testing was home security provider Verisure, which used the technology to improve campaign performance within local markets. The results highlight the potential value of AI driven optimisation in helping brands improve engagement while managing advertising spend more efficiently.

The launch builds on Nextdoor’s broader advertising platform development. In 2025 the company introduced its unified Nextdoor Ads Manager, a proprietary advertising platform that supports both managed campaigns and self serve advertising tools. The addition of Nextdoor AI click optimisation marks the next phase in the platform’s evolution, allowing advertisers to apply automated optimisation techniques to hyperlocal marketing strategies.

The new tools support automated copy and image generation using technology from OpenAI and creative assets from the Pexels photography community.
