As television advertising continues shifting toward performance driven and self serve buying models, technology providers are strengthening leadership teams to accelerate innovation in converged TV platforms. The latest move comes as Simulmedia Skybeam expands its efforts to simplify television advertising for brands and agencies seeking measurable outcomes.
Simulmedia, a provider of converged television advertising technology, announced the appointment of Adam Gaynor as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Skybeam. The newly created role signals the company’s focus on scaling its self serve television advertising platform and supporting the growing demand for performance based TV campaigns.
Gaynor will oversee the strategic direction of Simulmedia Skybeam, including product development, go to market initiatives, and revenue expansion. In the role, he will report directly to Simulmedia founder and Chief Executive Officer Dave Morgan.
The appointment reflects Simulmedia’s push to expand Skybeam as a platform that provides advertisers with direct access to converged television inventory. The system is designed to combine the reach of traditional linear television with the targeting and measurement capabilities associated with connected television and digital advertising platforms.
“Adam is a proven builder who has spent his career at the intersection of traditional television and the digital future,” said Dave Morgan. “As advertisers increasingly demand the same precision and ease of use in TV that they expect from search and social, Skybeam is the solution. Adam’s deep expertise in programmatic, streaming, and linear ecosystems makes him the perfect leader to scale this platform and empower a new generation of performance-driven marketers.”
Simulmedia Skybeam aims to simplify the complexities of television media buying by offering a self serve platform that allows brands and agencies to plan and activate campaigns across streaming, cable, and broadcast channels from a single interface. The system uses Simulmedia’s patented TV+ technology to create a centralized framework that measures campaign outcomes and provides advertisers with a unified system of record for performance data.
Gaynor brings more than twenty years of experience across the television, streaming, and advertising technology sectors. Before joining Simulmedia, he held executive leadership positions at several media companies including Locality, where he oversaw sales and marketing operations. He also previously worked at VIZIO, leading industry wide addressable television initiatives that expanded the role of data driven advertising in connected television environments.
Earlier in his career, Gaynor spent time at AMC Networks, where he helped develop advanced advertising strategies and data focused sales approaches. He also held a leadership role at DISH Network and was involved in launching the company’s addressable advertising platform, an initiative that contributed to the early development of targeted television advertising.
“The friction that has historically defined TV buying is finally falling away,” said Adam Gaynor. “What Simulmedia has built with Skybeam is a category-defining tool: it unifies the reach of premium local linear with the precision of CTV in a single, elegant self-serve interface. I am thrilled to join Dave and the team to democratize access to the most powerful advertising medium in the world and help brands of all sizes drive measurable business outcomes.”
The expansion of the Simulmedia Skybeam leadership team highlights the continued evolution of television advertising as it moves toward automated, data driven buying models. As advertisers seek the same targeting precision and performance measurement they experience in digital channels, platforms like Simulmedia Skybeam are positioning themselves to help bridge the gap between traditional broadcast reach and modern programmatic advertising capabilities.
