The Vomela Companies Acquires Leading Direct Mail Automation Company PFL

The Vomela Companies, a national leader in visual communications and specialty graphics, has announced the acquisition of PFL, a direct mail automation and print technology company headquartered in Livingston, Montana. This strategic move reinforces Vomela’s commitment to delivering scalable, data-driven marketing solutions by integrating one of the industry’s most advanced direct mail platforms into its suite of services.

PFL has built a strong reputation for bridging the gap between digital marketing and physical experiences. Its platform enables marketers to automate and personalize direct mail with the same precision and performance tracking expected from digital campaigns. With native integrations into CRMs and marketing automation systems such as Salesforce, Adobe Marketo Engage, and Iterable, PFL empowers businesses to send highly targeted physical mail based on real-time customer behavior turning direct mail into a dynamic engagement tool.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Vomela’s long-term growth strategy, enhancing its ability to deliver full-service, multi-channel marketing solutions that connect physical and digital touchpoints. With more than 20 locations and over 1,300 employees across North America, Vomela has been a key partner for both global enterprises and regional brands executing everything from large-scale event graphics to nationwide retail signage and branded fleet visuals.

According to Mark Auth, President and CEO of The Vomela Companies, the acquisition of PFL is both a technological and strategic advancement. “Direct mail continues to be one of the most effective and measurable marketing channels. Adding PFL’s capabilities to our portfolio allows us to expand our end-to-end direct mail campaign support from creative strategy and automation to print production and delivery,” he said.

PFL will continue to operate out of its Montana headquarters as a division of The Vomela Companies. Existing leadership and staff will remain in place to ensure operational continuity and client satisfaction. By combining Vomela’s creative scale and national production footprint with PFL’s proprietary technology and automation expertise, the integrated organization is positioned to offer more powerful marketing solutions to industries such as healthcare, finance, and retail where personalized, high-impact engagement is a top priority.

Dave Hawkins, CEO of PFL, expressed enthusiasm for the future under the Vomela umbrella. “We’re thrilled to join the Vomela family. Our shared commitment to service and excellence combined with their national reach and creative depth will allow us to scale our solutions further and deliver even greater value to clients,” he noted.

The move follows a key investment in Vomela by The Riverside Company in early 2025. That partnership was formed to accelerate Vomela’s growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. PFL represents the first acquisition under the new growth mandate, and a foundational step toward building an even more integrated and responsive marketing services powerhouse.

Marc Jourlait, Lead Operating Partner at Riverside and Chairman of the Board at Vomela, emphasized the strategic alignment of the two organizations. “PFL’s technology, client focus, and team stood out to us from the beginning. Their culture and capabilities are a perfect complement to Vomela’s, and together, we can broaden our service offerings and elevate the results we deliver to our clients,” he said.

As brands continue to seek more measurable and personalized marketing outcomes, especially in a crowded digital landscape, the combination of Vomela and PFL brings a differentiated proposition to market one that fuses creativity, automation, and tangible impact at scale.
