Accenture will purchase Einr AS, enhancing its SAP logistics and supply chain capabilities in the Nordic region.

Accenture to Acquire Einr AS, Expanding SAP Supply Chain and Logistics Capabilities in the Nordics

Accenture and Einr AS have reached an agreement for Einr AS to be acquired by Accenture. Einr AS is a Norwegian business consulting firm that specialises in high-volume logistics solutions using SAP® technologies to streamline the movement of goods from producers to consumers. Accenture’s SAP capabilities will be further strengthened by the acquisition, accelerating supply chain innovation for businesses in the consumer electronics and retail sectors. The deal’s financial details weren’t made public.

Einr, a company that was founded in 2015, is based in Oslo, Norway. 42 of its employees will join Accenture SAP Business Group in the Nordics after the acquisition is complete. Employees from Einr will strengthen Accenture’s SAP offerings in the market with their specialised skills in retail and supply chain management, transportation management, warehouse management, and assortment planning.

“In times of disruption, organisations need to reinvent their supply chains to meet rapidly changing customer expectations, grow, and become more profitable,” said Emma McGuigan, senior managing director and enterprise & industry technologies lead at Accenture. “With the acquisition of Einr, we will strengthen our SAP supply chain and logistics capabilities, assisting our clients in transforming their supply chains to become more responsive, resilient, and sustainable.”

Atle Steinsland, managing director of Einr AS, continued, “For the past eight years, we have provided high volume supply chain management, retail, and logistics solutions that have aided our clients in transforming and expanding within their industries. With Accenture’s help, we will be able to deliver these highly specialised capabilities at scale while giving our employees exciting new development opportunities.

The agreement to acquire Einr, according to Accenture’s Nordic lead Carsten Sachmann, “shows our commitment to serve as our clients’ preferred partner in end-to-end SAP transformations and supply chain reinvention.” Accenture and Einr’s skilled SAP business consultants working together will strengthen our position with customers and SAP in the Nordic countries.
