Automation Anywhere has announced a major expansion of its role in enterprise automation through the acquisition of Aisera, a company known for its leadership in AI powered self service for IT operations. The transaction strengthens Automation Anywhere’s capabilities in delivering intelligent automation to large organizations and brings together two companies that have both championed the rise of the Autonomous Enterprise. With this deal, Automation Anywhere adds advanced conversational AI agents that already support functions in IT Service Management, human resources and customer support, enabling businesses to modernize and simplify operations across multiple departments.
Both organizations share the belief that enterprises are entering a new era where the majority of work is fully automated or assisted by capable AI agents. That shift aims to reduce operational workloads, elevate the role of employees and deliver faster processes that improve outcomes for customers. Automation Anywhere expects the integration of Aisera’s technology to create what it describes as the most complete portfolio of agentic automation in the industry. It believes this will give employees across the organization direct access to intelligent self service capabilities that can understand intent, solve issues, make decisions and take action.

Automation Anywhere CEO and Co founder Mihir Shukla expressed strong confidence in how this acquisition will accelerate the company’s growth and impact. “With this acquisition, we are expanding the value we offer to customers broadening our market reach and accelerating the momentum of our GenAI business already the cornerstone of our growth and the majority of our bookings,” he said. Shukla added that customers can reduce spending on traditional IT support tools since AI agents can take on a large share of work and stated, “With AI agents doing the work, up to 40 percent fewer ITSM seats are needed. And in this new agentic world, Automation Anywhere charges for work done rather than underutilized seats.”
Aisera CEO Abhi Maheshwari called the partnership a major step for the entire industry. “The union of Automation Anywhere and Aisera creates an agentic automation powerhouse,” he said. He highlighted that both companies have been motivated by a common mission to reimagine enterprise functions through AI and expressed gratitude to Aisera’s customers and employees for helping shape this moment. “Together with Automation Anywhere, we will continue to redefine the future of enterprise work and deliver exponential value for businesses across the globe,” Maheshwari added.

Industry voices also view the acquisition as a major milestone. Menlo Ventures Partner Venky Ganesan described it as “a defining moment in enterprise AI” and emphasized that the combined strengths of both companies will accelerate transformation and business value for global organizations.
The companies say their unified technology stack will be built to support automation that understands language, reasons over complex data and executes outcomes across thousands of enterprise systems. With more than one hundred AI engineers from Aisera joining Automation Anywhere, the combined team plans to move even faster in developing AI agents that work across multiple industries. Customers already using Aisera’s solutions will remain supported as the merged organization invests further in the future of agent driven automation.
