Campaign Monitor Expands In App AI Guidance for Smarter Email Marketing

As inbox competition intensifies and personalization expectations continue to rise, email marketers are under growing pressure to make faster and more confident decisions with limited resources. This is especially true for small and mid sized businesses that rely on email as a core growth channel.

Campaign Monitor has introduced the next evolution of its in app AI guidance with three new capabilities designed to support everyday email marketing workflows. The update adds Marketing Monitor, Segment Mapper, and AI Email Booster, creating an always on layer of intelligence that helps marketers understand performance, build audiences, and optimize campaigns without disrupting how they already work.

The new release positions Campaign Monitor AI guidance as an in platform marketing partner rather than a separate analytics or automation layer. Marketing Monitor is now live and provides immediate context around campaign results by benchmarking performance against industry standards and highlighting where marketers should focus next. Segment Mapper and AI Email Booster will be available starting January 28.

Segment Mapper is designed to simplify one of the most complex parts of email marketing: audience creation. By translating plain language intent into usable segments, it allows non technical users to build more advanced targeting strategies without relying on data teams or complicated rules. This lowers the barrier to personalization while helping teams move faster from idea to execution.

AI Email Booster works directly inside the email builder, analyzing content in real time and surfacing clear, actionable recommendations. Marketers can apply suggested improvements with a single click, reducing guesswork and shortening the path from draft to launch. Together, the three tools deliver continuous guidance across measurement, segmentation, and optimization.

Campaign Monitor says the new AI capabilities were built in response to a common challenge facing SMB marketers. While data is abundant, clear direction is not. Many teams know something needs to improve but lack confidence about what action will deliver the biggest impact. By embedding guidance directly into existing workflows, the platform aims to reduce time to value and help marketers optimize faster without adding complexity.

“AI should make email marketing easier, not more complicated,” said Elizabeth Smalley, Chief Product Officer at Campaign Monitor. “Small and mid sized businesses are overwhelmed by data and best practices, but they do not always have the time or resources to act on them. We built these new AI features to provide always on guidance directly inside the platform, helping marketers better see what is working and optimize faster without losing control of their strategy.”

To showcase the new capabilities, Campaign Monitor will host two product launch webinars on February 3 at 1:00 PM EST and February 4 at 10:30 AM AEST. The sessions will walk marketers through real world use cases and demonstrate how the tools can support faster growth and more confident decision making.

With this release, Campaign Monitor reinforces its approach to practical AI that enhances human judgment rather than replacing it. By keeping marketers in control while delivering clear recommendations at the right moment, Campaign Monitor AI guidance is positioned as a competitive advantage for teams navigating an increasingly complex email landscape.
