As brands demand more accountability, automation, and integration from their marketing investments, AI-powered advertising platforms are becoming foundational to modern ad infrastructure. Draftype has secured Series A funding from ILSHIN Investment to accelerate the expansion of its AI-powered advertising platform and unify its growing portfolio of data-driven solutions.
Draftype positions itself as a big data and AI-focused advertising solution provider spanning the entire advertising value chain. The company delivers integrated capabilities across strategy development, creative production, media planning, and platform engineering, serving major brands such as Shinsegae Duty Free and Mediheal, along with leading advertising agencies. This end-to-end approach was a key factor behind investor interest.
According to ILSHIN Investment, Draftype’s ability to operate across both software and hardware environments set it apart in a crowded ad tech landscape. While many companies specialize in either data platforms or physical media, Draftype has built execution capabilities that bridge analytics, AI, and real-world advertising formats. Beyond more than ten data-based marketing solutions, the company independently designed and launched the Myeongdong Following Media, Korea’s first motor-engine-based moving outdoor advertising platform.

Draftype has also built a substantial intellectual property portfolio, securing ten patents that cover areas such as rotating billboard control systems, customized ad transmission platforms, and generative AI imaging technologies. These assets reinforce the company’s strategy of combining AI intelligence with physical media innovation to create differentiated advertising experiences.
The company’s financial growth reflects this technical focus. Draftype expects revenue to rise from approximately $275,000 in 2024 to around $2.07 million in 2025, representing a 7.5-fold increase year over year. This growth has been driven in part by a deliberate talent strategy, with roughly half of its workforce composed of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and other technical specialists.

An ILSHIN Investment Partners representative said the firm viewed Draftype as an opportunity to modernize a 20 trillion KRW advertising market through AI and data technology. The investor noted that while many players excel at either software or hardware, Draftype demonstrates execution strength across the full spectrum, from data analysis to physical media hardware development.
The newly raised capital will be used to expand Draftype’s development team and further advance its AI and data capabilities. A central focus of the next phase is integrating the company’s existing tools into a single, unified AI-powered advertising platform. By consolidating planning, execution, and measurement into one system, Draftype aims to deliver a more seamless experience for advertisers.
Chief Executive Officer Daehee Kim said the funding marks a transition from building individual solutions to scaling a comprehensive platform. “This investment lets us move beyond building individual solutions toward full-scale expansion,” Kim said. “We’re building an efficient advertising infrastructure where every step—from strategy to execution—connects through data and AI, giving advertisers a truly integrated experience.”
Draftype is targeting revenue of approximately $6.9 million by 2026 as it scales its unified AI-powered advertising platform. For marketers and agencies, the company’s trajectory reflects a broader shift toward platforms that combine intelligence, automation, and physical media execution.
