IAB Names NBCUniversal Executive Alison Levin as 2026 Board Chair

As the digital advertising industry enters a new phase shaped by artificial intelligence, commerce media, and evolving measurement standards, leadership at industry trade bodies is taking on heightened importance for marketers and media companies alike.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau has appointed Alison Levin, President of Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal, as Chair of its Board of Directors for 2026. Levin, who has served on the IAB Board since 2022 and most recently held the role of Vice Chair, brings deep experience across streaming, television, and digital advertising, including previous leadership roles at Roku.

In conjunction with Levin’s appointment, the IAB also named Alan Moss, Vice President of Global Advertising Sales at Amazon Ads, as Vice Chair for 2026. Moss adds decades of industry experience shaped by senior roles at Amazon, Google, and PayPal, with a strong focus on large scale advertising platforms and the digital economy.

The leadership transition comes as the IAB marks its thirtieth anniversary, a milestone that coincides with what many industry leaders describe as a transformational moment for digital advertising. AI driven media buying, new commerce models, and rising expectations around transparency and consumer trust are forcing companies to rethink long standing approaches.

“As the digital industry embarks on another seismic shift driven by AI, our industry must rethink everything from how we approach media, measurement, commerce, creativity, workflow, privacy, and consumer trust,” said David Cohen, CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau. “As IAB marks its 30th year, I’m energized by the leadership Alison and Alan bring to tackle today’s complex landscape while building for what’s next. Together, they bring the strategic clarity, operational expertise, and future-focused leadership needed to guide IAB and the industry into the future. The road ahead is not incremental; it’s transformational, and industry collaboration is critical for us all to succeed.”

Levin said her focus as Chair will be on collaboration and adaptability across the ecosystem. “I’ve been proud to serve on the IAB Board during a time of tremendous growth and innovation for our industry,” she said. “Taking the lessons I’ve learned along the way and from my predecessor Shenan Reed, I look forward to continuing this work of bringing together diverse voices from across the ecosystem, helping brands and publishers embrace change, and ensuring our industry remains focused on delivering value to consumers and marketers alike.”

Moss echoed the importance of standards and shared progress. “IAB plays a critical role in bringing the industry together around the standards and transparency that unlock digital advertising’s full potential,” he said. “I’m looking forward to working with Alison, David, and the IAB Board as we tackle what matters most – building new measurement solutions that deliver real outcomes, enabling AI that creates actual value, and shaping an industry that works better for everyone.”

Founded in 1996, the IAB has played a central role in shaping digital advertising, from defining early banner ad standards to developing frameworks for programmatic, commerce media, and responsible AI. As part of its thirtieth anniversary, the organization will host a retrospective panel titled “IAB at 30: From Foundations to the Future,” bringing together past Board Chairs to reflect on key moments in the industry’s evolution.

With Alison Levin stepping in as Chair, the IAB is positioning itself to guide advertisers, publishers, and platforms through the next era of digital advertising, where collaboration, accountability, and innovation will determine long term success.
