Xero’s Chief Growth Officer is Now CEO of GrowthLoop

Fast-growing CDP solutions provider GrowthLoop has appointed veteran technology leader Chris O’Neill as its new CEO. He joined the GrowthLoop Board in December 2023, and since then, he has been instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth journey. Chris has led high-growth tech companies in the past. He is widely known for his stints at Xero and Google. He brings deep and varied experience to accelerate GrowthLoop’s mission of helping enterprise companies grow by uniting their teams around first-party data using CDP solutions.

The new CEO appointment news comes within months of significant technology upgrades made by GrowthLoop. For instance, GrowthLoop announced the launch of a new AI-powered audience generation solution for the Snowflake app. Then, they followed it up with a new, advanced Computed Attributes generative AI feature, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Both announcements signaled the changing CDP marketplace powered by strong data lakes and data warehouse infrastructure. And, Chris must have come up with a solid vision to run the composable CDP capabilities on these data lakes to meet the growing cloud demands for the marketing and advertising companies.

Chris’ connection with GrowthLoop is more of a trainer-mentor relationship. Years ago, Chris had mentored GrowthLoop’s David Joosten during their stint at Google. Since then, the relationship has made a full circle, embarking on a new chapter for CDP’s latest sensation, GrowthLoop. GrowthLoop has experienced exponential growth since its inception. With years of experience helping organizations use data to unite their teams around incredible customer experience, the company is poised for rapid expansion. Joosten and his co-founder Chris Sell, who has been pivotal in the company’s success, will continue to play active roles — Joosten as executive director and president and Sell as executive director and chief product officer.
