IAS and Pinterest Partner for AI-Driven Brand Safety

Integral Ad Science , a leading global media measurement and optimization platform, today announced a new partnership with Pinterest to bring greater transparency into global advertisers. This deal introduces IAS’s AI-driven Total Media Quality [TMQ] Brand Safety and Suitability product, which gives deeper insight across campaigns into Pinterest’s in-app feed.

Lisa Utzschneider, CEO of IAS, said, “As marketers seek out brand-safe environments to reach highly engaged audiences, our AI-driven Total Media Quality for Pinterest reinforces our commitment to helping ensure that ad spend goes to suitable settings.”

New features for Pinterest advertisers include:

Trusted Campaign Insights: In addition to the GARM standard, this feature offers third-party insights into trustworthy, transparent industry metrics that allow brands to ensure safety while scaling on Pinterest.

Frame-by-Frame Analysis: IAS’s AI-driven Multimedia Technology allows for granular classification of pins by frame-by-frame analysis, bringing in complimentary Image, Audio, and Text signals for comprehensive brand protection and growth.

Campaign Level Measurement: Daily reporting for brand safety pass rates, viewability, time-in-view, and more to ensure that ads on Pinterest are engaging with real users in safe environments.

Global Coverage: Brand Safety Measurement for Pinterest will have coverage in 39 countries and 40 languages.

Bill Watkins, Chief Revenue Officer of Pinterest, said, “In partnership with IAS, we’re able to provide superior brand safety solutions to give advertisers increased confidence in their strategies through best-in-class technology. Pinterest remains committed to being a positive, shoppable platform, and our work with IAS ensures advertisers do just that-effectively capture audiences from inspiration to conversion.”

With this agreement, IAS adds Viewability, Invalid Traffic, and Brand Safety Measurement into IAS Signal-a unified reporting platform. This is extending the earlier work IAS did with Pinterest, which provided Viewability and IVT Measurement for display and video inventory in 2023, adding Brand Suitability Measurement for campaigns soon.
