Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit, Walmart unveiled a comprehensive suite of new tools and initiatives to advance seller growth, broaden international presence, and enhance omnichannel capabilities, underscoring its dedication to marketplace integrity and superior customer experiences. Manish Joneja, Senior Vice President of Walmart U.S. Marketplace and Walmart Fulfillment Services, emphasized that Walmart’s rapid eCommerce growth stems from prioritizing integrity, seller success, and delivering outstanding customer experience.

Among the highlighted innovations are AI-powered tools designed to simplify seller operations, reduce time to market, and boost sales. These include an AI-Powered Listing Tool and Smart Assistant that support both single and bulk product setup, alongside a 24/7 real-time support service. The Walmart Seller Advisors Program engages sellers across categories and regions, giving them a direct feedback channel to Walmart leaders to co-develop impactful solutions enhancing marketplace health. For sellers managing their own fulfillment, new shipping automation features allow dynamic delivery promises by region. Additionally, an enhanced Brand Portal aims to safeguard brands by detecting and flagging fraudulent activities, focusing keenly on product authenticity.

Walmart also announced seller incentives to help merchants compete in the peak shopping season, including 0% referral fees on qualifying toys, 50% reductions for pet supplies, and up to 100% referral fee cuts on top-selling items across various categories. These incentives, coupled with advanced technology, aim to empower sellers to stand out in competitive spaces and meet heightened consumer demand.

To extend reach and speed fulfillment, Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) now offers expanded next-day delivery in major U.S. cities, such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Atlanta, ensuring faster and more reliable delivery for Marketplace items. WFS provides competitive rates about 15% lower than competitors on average, enabling sellers to gain a 50% average lift in gross merchandise value for Walmart Fulfilled and 2-Day Shipping tagged products. Moreover, through Multichannel Solutions, sellers can leverage WFS to fulfill orders from their own websites, social shops, and other marketplaces, with new users eligible for 30% off fulfillment fees. Walmart’s expansive marketplace access now spans multiple regions including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Chile, augmented by tools like Walmart Connect 3P Sponsored Ads to increase seller visibility and sales.
