Both Effie and Julia were early adopters of AI. Effie was a TA for an AI class long before it went mainstream, and Julia developed a sold-out comedy show based on AI fails that ran from 2017-2021. They also share deep backgrounds leveraging communications technologies in novel ways.
With more than a decade of product-building experience, Effie is known for her passion in creating innovative and engaging products that connect and empower users. She got her professional start at Apple, where she learned about design and craft, before joining Google. Most recently, Effie was Principal Product Manager at Roblox, where she led the Expressions and Content Safety team. Her team was dedicated to enabling 1B+ users to communicate and express themselves in the digital realm, while staying safe and civil. Effie’s work on free natural expression with voice and facial expression will be an asset at Tavus.
